COVID-19 pandemic
With the daily rising figures of new Covid – 19 cases, the Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented in many affected areas throughout Indonesia and one of them is West Kalimantan province. It is a welcomed move and supported by many as it is the best possible way to check the spread of the Covid – 19. During the movement control order, many people are affected and they are mostly from the low income group among the society. The local government has with programs designed to reach out to help them and PT. Laman Mining is participating by contributing directly to the areas nearest to the vicinity of the company’s operation. Further to that, PT. Laman Mining as a member of the Bauxite Association has also contributed in terms of cash to the association to channel the much needed assistants to areas all over West Kalimantan.
