Preventing the Spread of Corona, PT Laman Mining Follows Government Recommendations

PT. Laman Mining, Matan Hilir Utara (MHU) District, Ketapang Regency take steps to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in their work environment and surrounding community. One of these efforts includes spraying disinfectants routinely.

The representative of PT. Laman Mining, Mr. H Ronald Sulistyanto said, spraying disinfectants in the company’s environment was one of the steps to break the Covid-19 chain.

“The Company have a social responsibility to fight the Covid-19 outbreak. Routine spraying is conducted, especially in the company’s environment,” said Mr. H Ronald Sulistiyanto in a release received by Jurnalis.co.id, Tuesday (7/4/2020).

Not only spraying, PT. Laman Mining has also carried out health checks for the community. And continue to educate the community to maintain a clean and healthy lifestyle.

“Yesterday we held free health checks for community, provided vitamins and masks. It is a form of concern from our company, especially the Government has also given an appeal,” he said.

In addition, he admitted that the company also applies strict protocols for workers, especially those who work at the port. Before boarding to the mother vessel, they will be inspected and provided with personal protective equipment.

“While working on the mother vessel, they are not allowed to have direct contact with the crew. When they come ashore, they will be inspected again and disinfected,” he said.

As for the CSR program, according to him, it is the obligation of every company to contribute. Both in the form of social activities and in the form of assistance to the community.

“We will certainly contribute in CSR program for the benefit of the community. PT. Laman Mining will follow the recommendations of the provincial and regional governments,” he concluded. (lim).
